NEW SADE! Finally! After almost a 10 year hiatus Sade has finally released her new single Solider of Love. Her album is slated to release so February 8 2010 and will also be titled Solider of Love. This song is everything that Sade is known for it features a pulsating drum beat with haunting vocals that she is known for. Ahhh! So amazing!

Her single artwork is gorgeous. Can you believe she’s 50?! She looks incredible. ‘These young female singers need to watch out. Sade’s return is no joke’.

Hallelujah Alicia Keys is back! I have been getting some leaked singles for a few weeks now, but this album is may-jah! Ms. Keys never does wrong in my books. I feel like this album is a much more mature side of Alicia Keys. In terms of her vocals I feel like her voice is more sophisticated and refined than in previous albums. One thing that I don’t understand is why her two lead singles have not got a lot of radio play, at least in Canada they have not. And I don’t understand why, her single Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart is amazing!

I think this album is going to get a lot of love even from people who have not been Alicia Keys fans in the past. Some of my favorite songs on the album are, Love Is Blind (#2), Wait Till You See My Smile (#5), Unthinkable (I’m Ready) (#7) Ps. on that track Drake sings back-up; listen for it, also Distance And Time (#12). The Queen B (Beyonce) also joins Alicia Keys on her song Put It In A Love Song, it’s an uptempo song with drum beats and a grand piano. Does it get any better? I don’t think so. Take a listen! It is an album not to be passed on.

Something’s Different. In A Good Way.

The evolution of Rihanna has been an interesting one, she went from sweet long haired Bajan girl, to a tough, edgy Pop and R&B sensation. And you know what? I love it! I have said it many times that the best thing that Rihanna has done for herself is get angry. I don’t really know what I like about her, I mean, she’s not the best singer, not the best dancer or performer. But the girl is a star. She works with what she has and works it well. her fashion, her edginess, her…Swagger (for lack of a better word).

You know what? SHE’S BACK. And tougher than ever. Her new album Rated – R hits shelves on November 23rd, I had a chance to listen to it, and it is very “bad-ass” the good girl certainly has gone bad! The one blatantly obvious example of this is that in the new album she swears! ahhh ! But I still like it. Some of the songs on the album in my opinion are not as good as others but that is understadable, it is very rare that everysong is a smash hit. Some of my faviourite ones are, Fire Bomb, Photographs ft. will.i.am, Cold Case Love, Te Amo and Hard.

When this album comes out I suggest that you tak a listen to it. It is an album not to be missed!

Video Phone!

Here it is! The video that we all have been waiting for (well I have). Okay to start of with, I just don’t think the song as a whole is that amazing, so I guess I wasn’t expecting too much. That being said, the video overall was okay…Beyonce looked “WOW” as usual! I don’t really understand the use of the guns, they look fly and all but I just don’t get it. Also, a tip to ALL female artists; don’t do a video with Beyonce. I’m sorry Lady GaGa I know a lot of people think you’re great myself included, but you’re just not tough enough be to be in a video with the Queen B herself. Beyonce tricked the GaGa! You sly Bey you. Overall I thought the video was rather lackluster, I would have expected some crazy choreography, and a whole bunch of f*erce, but instead we got a “green screen” video. PS. Did you notice that in the beginning of the video Beyonce looked A LOT like Rihanna?! Just a thought.

90′s Song of The Day

This song has been stuck in my head since Sunday night after I heard it on the radio, and fell in love with it all over again. TLC is one of the best female R&B groups of the 90′s! And I just think that their music should be played more often because it is that good.

The wait is finally ova…

After much hype the first single from Rihanna’s upcoming album Rated R was released today. The track entitled Russian Roulette made its debut on Rihannanow.com at 11:23 this morning. After listening to the track I have to say that at first I didn’t really like it, I just thought that the song wasn’t big enough for the hype that it was surronded by. That being said, I have listend to it a few times and now I really like it! And can we please talk about the artwork for the single?! Ouch! It looks really good don’t get me wrong but…ouch!

Can we please talk about this? Solange Knowles is obviously the younger sister of my beloved Beyonce Knowles, but less talented? I don’t think so. I think she is definitely one of the most underrated R&B musicions there are. I was just today listening to her song I Decided from her second album Sol-Angel and the Hadely St. Dreams released in 2008 and thought to myself “Why the hell isn’t she as successful as Beyonce?” I don’t have an answer to that question.

But just for the sake of, here it is I Decided by Solange.

Cracky’s back! And not as good as before, bummer. After watching her GMA performance Wednesday morning, I could not help but notice that she’s not as good as she used to be. After just one song Whitney was out of breath, and after her set she apologized (well kinda) she said, “I’m so sorry. I did Oprah. I’ve been talking for so long…I talked so much my voice…I shouldn’t be talking, I should be singing.” Good one Whitney! Blame it on Oprah! I just think that its quite tragic that she does not have the voice that she used to.
