I had a little craving for genius. Don’t mind me. I felt like I needed to hear some classic Fugees. I know they have said many times that they’ll be making a comeback, well we’re still waiting. And Lauryn please release something!

That is all.

Can we please talk about this? Solange Knowles is obviously the younger sister of my beloved Beyonce Knowles, but less talented? I don’t think so. I think she is definitely one of the most underrated R&B musicions there are. I was just today listening to her song I Decided from her second album Sol-Angel and the Hadely St. Dreams released in 2008 and thought to myself “Why the hell isn’t she as successful as Beyonce?” I don’t have an answer to that question.

But just for the sake of, here it is I Decided by Solange.

Cracky’s back! And not as good as before, bummer. After watching her GMA performance Wednesday morning, I could not help but notice that she’s not as good as she used to be. After just one song Whitney was out of breath, and after her set she apologized (well kinda) she said, “I’m so sorry. I did Oprah. I’ve been talking for so long…I talked so much my voice…I shouldn’t be talking, I should be singing.” Good one Whitney! Blame it on Oprah! I just think that its quite tragic that she does not have the voice that she used to.

Lets take a moment to look back at what used to be, this is on of my favorite Whitney Houston songs. My Love Is Your Love

And who could forget this little gem…

My favourite non-singing-cracked-up Whitney…

Because she’s gorgeous. September 4, 2009

So Jay-Z’s the Blueprint 3 is hitting stores on September 11th, but I had the pleasure of getting my copy today. After listening to the album, I have to say that it’s the perfect balance of grimy rhymes and sophisticated beats. Something that we all love from Jay Hova. If you were to listen to the beats alone that itself would be impressive, not surprising though considering that he worked with some of the best in the biz like Timbaland, Kanye West, Just Blaze and The Neptunes…just to mention a few.

The one thing that a lot of people have been excited about for this album is the collaborations, Jay-Z has teamed up with some of the hottest acts in the industry like Rihanna, Kanye West, Alicia Keys, Kid Cudi, Swizz Beatz, the ever popular Drake, and someone you’ll be hearing a lot about J. Cole.

My favorite track off the album is hands down Empire State of Mind ft. Alicia Keys (Track 5)

If you’re looking for the dirtiest, grimiest track listen to Venus vs. Mars (Track 10) and Reminder (Track 13).

And if you want to listen to big-band horns listen to Thank You (Track 2)

That has been my review and breakdown of Jay-Z’s The Blueprint 3.
